How Jollibee UAE started

Golden Bee Foods Restaurant L.L.C. (GBFRL) is a joint venture company formed by the partnership of Golden Plate Pte. Ltd. (GPPL) and Golden Crown Foods L.L.C. (GCFL) that was forged in January 2015.
GPPL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), the QSR industry leader in the Philippines which operates more than 1000 stores in the Philippines and more than 3000 stores worldwide. Other than Jollibee, JFC owns and operates other restaurant brands like Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal and Burger King (Philippine franchise). Abroad, it operates Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, and San Pin Wang, all in China, Jollibee (USA, Vietnam, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bahrain and UAE), Chowking (USA, UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait), Red Ribbon, Jinja Bar and Dunkin’ Donuts (China franchise). JFC also has a 50% share in joint ventures for the following stores: Highlands Coffee (Philippines, Vietnam), Pho 24 (Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Macau, and Korea), and 12 Sabu (China).
JFC thru GPPL has struck a joint venture deal with GCFL in 2015 that has the exclusive right to operate the Jollibee brand across the seven emirates. GPPL owns 49 percent of the joint venture while GCFL owns 51 percent, but both companies practice equal sharing in terms of control and management.”
Inspired by the very successful opening of the first Jollibee store in UAE – Jollibee The Dubai Mall, GBFRL is into aggressive expansion in the coming years. GBFRL targets to open a total network of 32 stores across the UAE by 2020.
